The evolutionary code against surviving.

I always wrote from a place of deep personal feeling and experience.

It appears I can’t write from anywhere else even when I try.

Today I am writing to you moments after I received a rejection from an organization that inspires me every day.

I have written about rejections before but not through the eyes of the universe and the laws of quantum mechanics.

As a matter of fact when we write from the bigger cosmos and utilize science we end up with something less heavy.

We still have a hard problem but it removes some of the emotion.

The actual rejection from the organization that I received did not make any sense in real logical terms but here is why we need to bring in quantum mechanics.

I am going to start by referencing the incredible John Wheeler.

“No phenomenon is a real phenomenon until it is an observed phenomenon.”

Imagine this being true.

Imagine that I observed my rejection inside my mind before it actually took place.

I must have said to myself ‘you are not going to be able to pull this off.’

And by thinking this I was witnessing myself being rejected.

The witnessing of the rejection must have had a bigger pull than the witnessing of being accepted.

Timothy Ferris who was a professor at Berkeley school of journalism wrote a book in 1997 called ‘The Whole Shebang.’

In that book he said “The Universe is made of events…interactions of quantum fields, and the things we choose to call them, they are really just the result of the way the world is perceived.”

The way the world is perceived is the way the world is. (Click to Tweet!)

And this for me is such a hard lesson.

How do we even begin to train our mind to not witness what we are automatically afraid of. How do we stop the witnessing when the mere thought of the possibility of something not working out is literally witnessing it.

“Both the wisp of fog and the rock and everything else in the universe, says Ferris, “came from chaos and went through selection processes from which certain structures arise by chance.” Including us.

Including the possibility of rejection, the possibility of loss or failure.

It starts somewhere by chance because we don’t think to consciously select our chance thought encounters.

Especially the thoughts that are there to teach survival.

It also happened by chance because we are not wired to believe that we can actively select what we want to observe.

And understanding the complexity around that is both heartbreaking and complex.

If we can only find our way to the selection that serves our highest selves before selecting the event that scares us then well, then we would arrive at a different reality.

One that is perceived consciously.

Ultimately it is that.

The goal of humanity.

To consciously create our reality for thriving and not for surviving.

We are programmed to survive.

And the conscious selection of thriving is almost impossible for our humanity the way things are right now.

If we succeed in that we will never find ourselves lost.

Rejections will still take place but less frequently.

Loss will still happen but maybe more naturally instead of abruptly.

I am not asking for the creation of heaven on earth, I am asking for the possibility of using our free will to create our own freedom from circumstances.

Now to finish this letter the way I started it.

I am sad that I was rejected and I was responsible for not observing the thought that led me to thriving.

But it allowed me to understand the more complex details of a conscious selection.

To seek deeper comprehension.

And according to the cognitive scientist Donald Hoffman who uses evolutionary game theory to show that our perceptions of an independent reality must be illusions says to us that evolution shapes acceptable solutions, not optimal ones.”

Our ways of understanding our world derive from survival and self protection.

My rejection experience was helping me keep me safe from a bigger world and a bigger life.

I have to find a way to break the code that has been created for many thousands of years through our evolution.

Somehow we can all find our way to a new code.

A code of thriving.

Until then, find your observer self and consciously help yourself to select choices that lead you to a thriving experience even if they scare you at first.
